Pros & Cons of Moving to Boise

Pro con list of whether to take a job and move to Boise
1. Housing is affordable
2. Job pays more!
3. Cheaper and more convenient to buy stuff like furniture and home goods, groceries
4. Company makes actual money vs tricking investors
5. Fit and active, reimburse gym membership
6. Treat me like an adult, pay to fly me out for an interview and offer relocation assistance
7. Fresh start, a way to clear the slate and start over
8. City has a cool downtown and a possible contingent of cool people and culture around downtown and the university
9. Conservative family friendly area
10. More activities to get involved in
11. More jobs Becky could potentially get
12. Less rain, maybe less depression!
13. Have some friends I know from work
14. We can get a babysitter and go see bigger name shows right in town
15. Bigger mountains
16. Can go to BSU probably for comp sci and get along just fine
17. Overall crime is lower (city-data)
18. There's an Apple store right in town, nice for broken iPhones
19. Get to pump our own gasoline, no more "please don't top it off"
20. Lower income tax brackets, between 1-7%
21. Auto insurance premium should be lower
22. Family purchasing power is higher, more for your money
1. More "riff raff"
2. Less of a tight knit community
3. Big sprawling city with strip malls
4. Job isn't a "web 2.0" type startup
5. Body building chodes
6. Not close to the ocean
7. We'll miss the church and friends we have made
8. City seems less "hip", less liberal and green
9. Mormons
10. More sex offenders hanging around
11. More crime
12. Not as nice "scenery" right in town, desert area
13. SNOW! I had enough snow growing up!
14. I *just* started seeing a psychologist he's cost me 30 bucks and I haven't even gotten a prescription yet...
15. Connor is about to start preschool and likes his teacher and the school is highly recommended and seems awesome :(
16. OSU was my dream school for computer science at least
17. It's so dry looking. Will miss the green.
18. Will have to drive a lot more
19. Can't really bus to work
20. Have to pump our own gasoline
21. Sales tax is 5% :(
22. Don't foresee being able to bike or walk to work like possible here
