Pros & Cons of Being Christian - Anypart of the "Umbrella" Prodistant etc...

Why should Christianity be my religion and if I Believe in God why this church?
1. Self Control
2. discipline
3. Love
4. Hope
5. Joy
6. Friendship
7. Focus and direction both on and off the scene.
8. No Fear
9. Peace of mind
10. Healing and being healed.
11. Sharing
12. Giving hope to others
13. Giving love to others
14. Healing others
15. Showing others that there is another way.
16. Belief in Something, Belief in God rather than something that can fade or dissapoint.
17. Being able to trust 100% without doubt.
18. Confidence
19. Fellowship
20. Being able to have a relationship with God.
1. Church's can manipulate the word of God.
2. some members can be mean.
3. It is easy to follow man and think of man as God. "Go want's you to be in this position." "Do you think this is what God wants for you?"
4. TOO MUCH INDOCTRINATION NOT ENOUGH GOD
5. Judging too much even to the point of hypocracy.
6. Taught bad habbits of many kinds;
preaching personal ideal's rather than the word of God. Motivational speaking rather than the word of God, selft interest speaking rather than the word of God.
7. Some church's can hinder it's member's or enable them. Rely too much on man rather than God for sin confession, counciling etc...
8. Arrogance - "We are the true church"
Judgement - "That Church is this or that"
Condemnation - WAR/Violence and radical dogmatism
9. Irrational beliefs or a dogmatic view too the point where no discussion can be made.
"I'm right because this is what the bible says"
10. False sense of security in the church. It is God that is our security and our belief in him not man.
