1. Earth won't last forever. Whether by our own hand, or by some natural catastrophe, Earth's ability to sustain human life will end. To ensure our survival, we *need* to explore other places, learn how to survive in space and on other worlds, and how to ada
1. Because of the substantial amount of capital it takes to execute these type of missions, it is more important to focus on how one can help the human civilization on Earth rather than delve into "space exploration or development".
2. It's not very practical because sending humans into space and sending robots and artificial intelligence into space is a completely different matter. The extra costs outweigh the curiosity and "need" to explore the cosmic ponds.
