Pros & Cons of $4 *side salad instead of large o trad

Large $4 salad to accompany entree vs Small $4 side salad to accompany Entree
1. No more splitting/sharing of an 0 trad
2. requires less time to eat, thus less likely entrees will need to be held
3. Doesn't fill up guests
4. Only 2 types of salads (Side salad and entree salad) vs 3: (ex, Trad, O-Trad, NC trad)
5. small side salad on al la plate will take less room on the tables
6. No confusion for servers or Guests when ringing/ ordering Side salad vs. entree salad
7. More Return on Salad Cost
8. Increases chance that guest would buy dessert, and be able to have luxury of a 3 or 4 course meal.
9. guest will eat more of their entree and wont need TO-Go box
10. Entree sharing guests would be inclined to get their own side salad.
11. Side Salad will be labeled under starters and sides. Guests will Recognize options easier an Start with salad more often.
1. Shock factor from large proportion vs price of Salad is lost
2. The menu will need to be changed
3. Guests who often order O trad or split O-trad might be be upset and think of it as an ungenerous change
4. Substituting side for side salad might be too desirable.
5. Salad expo too busy and requires manager
6. Salad expo needs more plates, salad, dressings ect
7. server has to ring 'Sell Now" for Side Salads that are before hot food.
