Pros & Cons of using old pc instead of new macbook

should i be using my old pc or new macbook around college
1. i get a back up computer that i dont really care about
2. less stress on new mac
3. parts are cheaper for old pc
4. does basic things i need for college
5. big screen
1. really big
2. really heavy
3. running xp
4. i miss my mac
5. mac battery lasts a lot longer
