Pros & Cons of Buying a Hybrid

Should I spend the extra money for a hybrid SUV or not?
1. Environmentally Friendly
2. Save money on Gas
3. I would feel less guilty driving it because I'm definitely buying an SUV
4. Resale value is higher
5. Convenient not to have to fill up tank as often

1. More expensive
2. Would have to own car for at least ten years to make up cost difference in gas savings
3. Possibly harder/more expensive to maintain
4. Have big expenses coming up that I should save money for
5. Don't know much about mechanics of hybrid (would have to learn)
