Pros & Cons of New position on the job

What are my pros and cons of accepting a new position at work and what would it take for me to accept the position?
1. Room for further advancement
2. Increased salary
3. Opportunity to get experience in a new area of employment
4. Will give more than 100% to excel in the position
5. Have proven my worth with company by aiding in various departments
6. Opportunity to receive certification of expertise in area of work
1. Not sure if there are capable or qualified persons to appoint to various position in department
2. Battle of getting others to give up particular responsibilities and give to those better capable of getting job done
3. May be thrown into position without receiving adequate training and certification to perform job effectively and efficiently
